☛ FACE: GOLD PAINTED
The face of this Buddhist Statues of Vajrakilaya has been painted with gold. Reason for painting the face is to define important attributes of the Vajrakilaya's face, especially its eyes and Its lips. This normally cannot be obtained by metal carving. Even if we could it will be blurred out by oxidation with time. This is an important and sacred ritual of Buddhism to make the statue ready for its consecration and practice.
For painting the face of a statue we use a special gold variation, which is treated in a way which will transform the metal gold into a paintable powder gold. This is said to be 100% pure gold.
☛ FULL ELECTRO GOLD PLATED
This Buddhist Statues of Vajrakilaya has been finished in Full Electro Gold plated finishing. Mr. Suman Shakya a master craftsman and plating expert has helped us in Gold plating this Vajrakilaya.
This is a modern and healthier medium of gold plating, here the gold plating is done by flowing electric current between two metals. This kind of gold plating is very cheap in comparison to the traditional fire Gold plating, but due to advances in technology, the difference in the quality of gold plating between the two is decreasing.
In this process, the statue is first plated with silver, and then later plated with gold.
☛ LOST-WAX SYSTEM
This Buddhist Statues of Vajrakilaya is made by the process of the Lost Wax system. This is a very complicated, time consuming and historic process of making metal sculptures.Which is why it is sometimes called Precision Casting as well. Hence the sculptures made by this process are comparatively expensive. There are many new, advanced and less time consuming methods of casting metal sculptures available as well. But due to the benefits provided by the traditional lost wax system in quality control and customization, we prefer the Loss wax system over Ceramic molding, or sand casting to make our Buddhist Statues.
Below we have tried to illustrate the process of making a loss wax system statue:
☛ VAJRAKILAYA: BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Vajrakila is a powerful personification of the diamond-tipped peg [Skt. Kila] symbolizing the power of 'one-pointed concentration [Skt. Ekagrapha] which transfixes negative energies that obscure spiritual truth & awakening. Concerted mindfulness on the interdependence & ultimate unity of all principles [Skt. Dharmas], which govern the inner & outer worlds. By subduing delusions & negativities that arise as obstacles during spiritual awakening [dharma practice] he purifies spiritual journeys which lead to enlightenment.
